21 Oct 08 Wasilla, Alaska, There’s Your Real America

Jon Stewart sent a reporter to check out the town, and it’s an eye-opener.

We found this one thanks to Andrew Sullivan.

Sarah, just stop.

You are unwisely provoking everyone with a uterus and a brain.

Stop using the term “maverick” to describe yourself. It’s not unlike the word “bitch“.

Stop pretending to be a feminist. I know of thousands of women who are smart, motivated, educated, useful and extraordinary and they STILL did the right thing with their kids - they were there for them.

Gender equality? “You betcha!” You are steadfastly proving that women can be just as shallow, manipulative, cut-throat, self-absorbed, and megalomaniacal. Congratulations, governess, you have earned your Vag Badge. And now I revoke it.

10 Oct 08 Republican Senator Endorses Obama

McCain’s negative campaign is producing results, but not the results he was hoping for. John McCain is losing support from mainstream Republicans. William Milliken, the former governor of Michigan and a life-long Republican, said “He is not the McCain I endorsed.” Lincoln Chafee, a former US Senator from Rhode Island, said “There are a whole lot of us deserting.” Johnny Maverick’s ship is sinking fast.

During a stop in Grand Rapids on Thursday, Lincoln Chafee, a former Republican U.S. senator from Rhode Island, said he’s voting for Obama and urging others to do likewise.

McCain campaigned for Chafee’s unsuccessful re-election bid in 2006, but Chafee said he is concerned McCain has swung to the right, a divisive strategy that could make it difficult for him to govern.

“That’s not my kind of Republicanism,” said Chafee, who now calls himself an independent. “I saw what Bush and Cheney did. They came in with a (budget) surplus and a stable world, and look what’s happened now. In eight short years they’ve taken one peaceful and prosperous world, and they’ve torn it into tatters.”

As for McCain’s choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin for his running mate, “there’s no question she’s totally unqualified,” Chafee said.

09 Oct 08 Sarah Post Turtle

Sarah Palin is a post turtle, you know she is lol.

From The Zoo:

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year old Texas rancher whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.

Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President.

The old rancher said, “Well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle.”

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was.

The old rancher said, “When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, it’s a post turtle.”

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain.

“You know she didn’t get up there by herself, she doesn’t belong up there, she doesn’t know what to do while she is up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there to begin with.”

01 Oct 08 Palin Not Qualified

Respected conservative journalist George Will came right out and said it yesterday while speaking at the Cornerstone Government Affairs office. Sarah Palin is “… obviously not qualified to be President.”

Kathleen Parker of the National Review went even farther than Will. In a recent column she said “If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself,” and went on to call for her resignation.
