Problems With Protein Diets

diet2In recent years much has been published on protein-rich diets for weight loss, disease prevention and improving athletic performance. These diets are however supported by much research. Studies have also shown that the healthiest diet is one rich in carbohydrates, low in fat and moderate in protein. Increased intake of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables are recommended for gewichtscontrole3 and preventing diseases such as cancer. Diets low in fat, rich in carbohydrates and moderate in protein are also recommended for optimal athletic prestaties. Contrary to the fad diets currently promoted by some popular books, a diet rich in proteins even contribute to disease and other health problems.

* Osteoporosis
Diets rich in protein, especially animal protein, known that they cause people to excrete more calcium than normal urine, and a higher risk of osteoporosis cause. Vegetarian diets, which provide adequate protein and calcium in addition by the consumption of green-vegetables, beans and fortified juices, can help protect against osteoporosis. (more…)
